Eminent domain is being misused in East and North Texas to seize prime agricultural land for reservoirs, forever changing Texas' heritage and homelands. Reservoir water is finite, often lost to evaporation, seepage, or urban/industrial contracts, while Texans are displaced and food-producing land is sacrificed. Proponents cite population and industry needs, but water parks, golf courses, and artificial lakes aren’t essential public benefits.
